What if silence becomes a judicial principle?

It is highly disgusting to witness such a miserable situation in the God’s own country where the judging tables are becoming victims of ‘Silent Verdicts’. Huge variety of versions for a single case; diverse opinions on a single verdict. Orators always preach about our unity in diversity. But it is a question that where is this unity? The situation is getting worse in such a way that Kerala is being plunged into the path of an unlawful state. Citing the series of incidents such as the Ice cream parlour case, T.P Chandrasekharan murder case, Soumya murder case etc., as a malayalee, I feel myself insecure to live in this so called God’s own land. Silence is a basic rule during court procedures. But what if silence becomes a judicial principle? Don’t be deaf and dumb in front of a civil society. Rise and Respond!

Victimized

I wonder about the miserable situation of the God’s own country, being driven by price hikes in all sectors of market. Let it be petrol, gold, food or anything like that. It is really sad to watch us from outside becoming silent victims of such irresponsible decisions of public as well as private authorities. I strongly feel that the situation demands a change from harthals to timely pressures and actions at the earliest. As a journalism aspirant, I assure my complete support, being aware of the duties of a citizen as well as a social individual.

Sharp Focus

“An unexpected visual treat, supported by mightier views”-that is what I can say about the inter-collegiate short film festival ‘First Cut’, which was conducted on June 7, 2012 under the auspices of the MCJ department of SIAS Media School, Vazhayoor. By 10.30 a.m., SIAS studio was filled with the directors of the proposed films, the respected faculty of MCJ department and a perfect blend of apt audience from various selected colleges. A total of seven films were selected for screening under the category ‘Meet the director package’ and 12 films under package-two. As the name suggested, the meet the director package was really a nice platform for close interaction with the directors of the films included in the category. The Changing tracks of human mind All the seven films in package 1, which were also the highlights of the festival were succeeding in one or other way in picturising the dark corners of human rage and the changing tracks of human thoughts. The whole pac...

Meaning of LIFE

Many ideologists and philosophers have made their own interpretations regarding what is life and what it is about.Well,as a free thinker,i feel that I have the responsibility to choke out another simple way of thought. For me,life is all about the judicious use of the available resources of livelihood within the given span of time, which we usually call as Life Time.It might not be appealing to all of you as such. But still it is a piece of my understanding. Now..here is my expansion of the term LIFE..                                Learning                                Intelligent                                Fantacies                               ...

Facebook or 'Face'book???

It is not that much surprising that people in the modern world spend a good part of a day(well, approx. 7 or 8 hours) in the Social Networking Sites like Orkut,Facebook,Twitter etc. Many of them are of the opinion that such networks are contributing a lot towards the establishment & maintenance of social relationships round the world.Still it is really disgusting and disappointing that, the same members of the so called social networks are directly or indirectly supporting (in another way promoting) the De-humanistic attitudes of the modern capital world.             I feel that the word 'De--humanistic' could take a broad gateway of numerous meanings which are unfortunately negative in nature. One broad sense of the word is that the term social networking itself is representing a hidden lobby or a mafia that concentrates the works on sexual abuse, mental harassment etc. Many such networ...
